Question - how is the players progression through the game world saved? I know the character is saved by account, but like as I complete Acts, how is it saved, since it's all online (and unique servers)?

It does require a full time connection to the NET. There is no real singple player game other than making your game PRIVATE and not inviting anyone. This is how I will most likely play the entire first time I play. I want to play it alone once at least. So wait - I can't just play a game offline by...

Put your ear up to it when it's running. If you here any strange mechanical sounds (usually repetitive), it's probably ruined. If not, you may be able to buy an identical hard drive, and swap logic boards. I've done that before. Of course, the last 4 hard drives that died on me made the mechanical s...

You can't put a single file that is 4GB. But you can have several files that combined are well over 4GB.
According to MS website, the max a FAT32 drive can be is 8TB.

Re: ATI All in Wonder..
Integrated video (at least used to) relies heavily on the CPU for it's processing. A dual core isn't too powerful for that - not to mention a Pentium doesn't have some of the media encoding newer chips have. I'd say try it, but it may be hard pressed to keep up. My dual core Pentium laptop couldn't ...

yeah it's definitely in my top 3 games ever list. I'm a high elf. I'm speced out as a Warrior, but after you do all the thieves guild quests, you'll be a pretty good assassin too. Hard to beat 15x damage with daggers, and double damage backstab gloves!

Re: Low Power File Server
Couple questions - if you're doing primarily storage, why not go with a simple NAS box? Also, why do you need 10k drives? The performance increase from 7.2K to 10K is slim, but it consumes a bit more power. Even a 5.4K drive does pretty good, I have a 3TB I use for backup, and it's fast. Or you coul...

You don't literally use the phrase "net startservice", you'd use "net startactualnameofservice" To find the name of your services, check the registry editor under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services , or if you double click the service Services.msc, you'll see th...
