My Dell has been working fine for me for the past few years. Go to their website and customize an Inspiron 9300. You can get all the features you want, although I didn't price it out myself. Their "base price" of 1200 or so doesn't include most of the things you want.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole reason behind the tax curb was because 1) the wealthy are already paying more tax than the normal, and 2) letting them keep their money is going to do a lot to stimulate the economy and such (investing, giving more people jobs, etc).
