IC 0.0.2 \"Grinder\" Trailer

It's not IC 0.0.2 - we're still waiting on a Linux build of the code - but it's the next best thing, and for those luddites among you who are watching Into Cerberon with every expectation of being able to play it sometime in the next decade when you eventually buy a computer good enough to play Doom...

Re:

Is there joystick support yet? Just wondering, not bitching. I'm afraid not, we've still got too much to do with the net synchronization system and the collision model for me to dive into joystick-into-Doom3 hacks. We might also decide to do alternative mouse control system before exploring joystic...

IC 0.0.2 On the Horizon

The code is off to our cross-compilers, the art and scripts are finlized, and I'm working on the documentation to send to our translators. Into Cerberon 0.0.2 should hopefully be out this weekend; the big feature is Sp3ctre's \"ic_mine\" map (such an original name, eh?), which should feel ...

Does anyone have a copy of the L7 Descent Boss \"grinding\" noise or know how I could extract it from the game data myself?

I want to sample it for some promo material for IC.

The main menu is, shall we say, less than functional at this point. \"New Game\" won't work because there is no singleplayer. Starting a new multiplayer game also won't work because IC is mostly incompatible with the built-in DM maps, and the start-multiplayer menu doesn't show the IC maps...

The most likely culprit for the situation you describe is a failing, ailing, or just plain insufficient power supply. My present computer's second power supply, an Antec 550 (that I had to buy to power my 6800 Ultra), was failing to deliver sufficient voltage on the +5v rail, resulting in a computer...

It's your choice. Fans at the front blow in. Fans at the back blow out. If you have a two-slot rear-exhausting graphics card (like a GeForce 7800), you may want to have a side fan duct fresh air in. Otherwise, you may want to have it duct hot air out in order to prevent hot air from the graphics car...

Maybe it's the footstep noises?

In any case, multiplayer Doom 3, provided you have people who are competent FPS players, is basically Q3A in the dark, which means you run, you jump, you shoot, and you careen. It's not a question of tracking down, it's a question of twitch-turn-fire.
