Yeah I think a better approach with this bunch would be to show them what you are talking about....They are like a bunch of rabid conservatives around here when it comes to the look and feel of the board. If you WOW them it might be different. And if they don't like it, well....you had fun making i...

I say we see the final product then decide. Frankly, I never look at it, always go right to the index, but when I do go through, it would be nice to look at something thats not so grainy (doesn't help that it was stretched beyond its actual resolution, which makes it look really bad, wkofi does tha...

http://www.descentbb.net/newsbbanim.gif Minimal change: the bottom letters could be broken away from the original gif for a faster download. This could also allow a better quality image at the same 50kb file size. What would happen is i rebuild the model and match the exact 'look' that the old one ...

Well, Isaac, that's pretty much what I was saying. Same object file across multiple threads/processors gives no benefit. I just think that because of the dependencies that object files have on each others' compilation, you won't see much of a performance gain by compiling separately in a complex ap...

Multithreading != Multiple Processors (almost but not quite). VC++'s COM threading model might prevent it from running on multiple processors (I'm pretty sure that's the MFC default, and VC++ <= 6 is an MFC app) regardless of whether it can run multithreaded. Besides, wouldn't compiling the same ob...

Visual C++ version 6 can be hacked to do so. There is a hack for VCSpawn.exe that will enable it to do multi-threaded compilation. I don't remember where I got it from so either google it or PM me for it. I'd like to avoid Visual Cpp if i could, but i KNOW a hack isnt the answer to this problem. Yo...

You're making it sound as if killing your self is bad for you. It only hurts some people that know you but they will get over it after a month or two. Killing your self puts you in a state of immortal non existence. If you can kill your self your mind is advancing towards a greater power of nothingn...

A quick death is not dramatic. To shoot your self would be like flipping a light switch off. Doesnâ??t you think it would be a gentle experience? Itâ??s such an easy solution to every petty problem and the only reason we donâ??t just kill our selves must be some type of survival instinct. It might m...

I wouldn't particularly call Bryce crap. I export then render most of my 3D Studio stuff in Bryce because of the atmospheric and landscaping effects it has... It's just a slightly slower rendering system and horrible contraints (which is why i do my modeling in 3d Studio) Anyway http://arasian.com/...
