I want an option to remove the bitmap frame around the automap. Without the frame more screen is available to view the map. And I think the frame was absent in D1... What exactly do you mean? We would like to see either mp3 playback support or at least custom audio CD playback (without need of connecting an audio cable from the CD drive to the soundcard). People that don't have the original game CD want to enjoy listening D2 redbook in-game. This is what he's a...

I don't have the original game CD, but I want to be able to listen D2's Redbook during the gameplay. Midi music was great in D1 because each singleplayer level had its own track. D2 is absolutely different: it has only 4 midi tracks that are cycling through all the game. After 8-12 levels these song...

I'm not sure is it a level bug or D2X-XL bug, but I hope you will be able to reproduce it. On the level 12 of d2 there is a strange narrow doorway. PyroGX just cannot pass through it.
On the savegame this doorway is right on front of the ship.

d2x-xl v1.5.99 will print the version string into a file named 'd2x-xl-version.txt' in the data folder (application folder if no data folder present), when called with switch '-print_version' and will then immediately terminate. Well, I know that I'm little bit late... But if someone will need to d...

Guide-bot's behavior was discussed here . Nevertheless, can you make him not to attack player with flares? Because GB does it all the time and without any purpose. I'm so tired of it. Pressing Shift+7 doesn't solve the problem, because I still want GB to guide me, but without that sort of aggression...

Dummy robots - maybe. Never noticed them. Invulnerable, invisible enemies - confirming. I've encountered them in 6'th level of D2. After killing a Sidearm he splitted as usual into Sidearm modulas, that are carrying flash-missiles. These bots somehow became invisible. I have savegame of this point. ...

I would suggest that you read this article for starters, it supplies many good suggestions. I've already read it a long ago, but still I re-read it once again. Good article, but it describes a joystic configuration. While I don't have a stick, I want to become a superior mouser :-) Iceman, check ou...

Optimal keyboard+mouse configuration
Unfortunaly I don't have a joystick. Keyboard and mouse are my only controllers. Here is my configuration: http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4993/1keybrd5ow.th.png http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/1164/2mouse8kq.th.png It has one big disadvantage: to slide left or right I have to hold down ALT key an...

I have some questions about the directory structure in D2X-XL. D2X-XL supports organizing the Descent 2 data in subdirectories of the main Descent 2 folder. Use of these folders is optional; if d2x-xl finds one of them, it will however only look there for the related data. data: put all game data he...

I suppose most of you, guys, have the Vertigo add-on. Too bad for me - I live in the country, where it's impossible to buy such a thing :-( From the D2X documentation: Vertigo consists of both netgame enhancements (codenamed HOARD) and an additional mission. To install HOARD, place hoard.ham in your...
