There's an assload of shakers in level 24 though, much many more than you absolutely require.

Yeah, that one! It's a good track, but it gets super tedious through overexposure. As do all the 4 tracks from D2, honestly.

Ok, Enceladus is up on Dropbox, it's level 7. No hostages yet and some textures might still be missing, but overall it's pretty much done. I tried my best to make it as D1-ish as possible, all feedback is welcome :P

I'm really amazed at pretty much everything in this game: how well it steers with the mouse, how balanced and interesting all the weapons are, the graphics, the power-ups, everything is pretty much spot on and optimal. Really smart people must have headed this project, 's what I'm feeling.

All in all though, I feel that the arc of Descent is very nicely concluded with D3, with some great extra exposition in Mercenary.

Too bad the game has such an assy difficulty system, it's nigh unplayable on Hotshot, let alone the higher levels.

Well, it was explicitly stated that the virus is "extremely advanced nanotechnology" in D3, so pitching it as an autonomous agent with no one pulling the strings, or even a lifeform, would require a serious retcon. I'd frankly be quite happy with something like an alien civilization beyond...

Of course I did the testing on Insane, how else?

Also, Shakers do not affect robots immune to kinetic weapons such as the baloris boss. It must be a separate flag or something.

As I remember, CS L24 boss has 6500 HP, and one direct shaker hit takes away 1000 HP or slightly less - so it takes 7 shakers to kill, 7500 would mean 8 direct hits - quite a lot, further increasing boss HP could create smth like AF L9 monster (static Mega missile turret with 32000 HP - you need to...
