Re: First impressions

There were a couple of levels that did seem a bit tedious I will admit. At least they change up the pace a little around level 13.

Re: Destroyed robots counter

I think a global robot counter would be easier. As the mine loads, add one every time a robot is placed. When a robot dies, subtract one. When a robot spawns, check if it was not from a matcen; If not, add one, else add one to the spawned bots counter. Also IMO there should be a numeric boss HP mete...

Re: Descent 1 1/2

Happy to confuse :P Looks like what they did is extract the exit sequence info from the D2 demo. I saw a download file (d2exit.zip) , still gotta check it out. Looks like the data is only readable by source ports however. If we go through with this we may have to make sure every exit tunnel works. I...

Re: Descent 1 1/2

If one of my levels has a MIDI song that isn't D2L1, then that was what I was thinking of for that level.
Quick thing I should mention: Currently level 4 has D1L8, meaning that secret level 3 (Quartzon Planetary Vault) would use that same song. IMHO D1L8 doesn't sound too watery.

Re: About changing level music

For non-MIDI there isn't much you can do, at least in terms of vanilla support. As for MIDI, all you need to do is either find (in the case of anything built into D1 or D2, where it would be in the respective .HOG) or convert your midi (MIDI2HMP or DTX2) to a .HMP file.

Well, here it is with Puuma Sphere textures in a couple extra spots!

Sa-Matra I
(Bonus Earthshakers if you know where I get the name from)

Also unless I have an outdated version of the POG, that monitor came from D1-GR4 into an ice.pig level without any PIG changes since.

Re: Descent 1 1/2

I had an idea for the Tycho Brahe boss level, built around a variation on Io's key thing (yellow is in no security rather than red) and having lava mixed in with the ice. As for the boss, I had an idea to focus it around having several entry points to the actual arena, making that the strategic aspe...

If you put '-fullscreen 0' into config/d2x.ini, this will do the trick. Random fact: This is actually how I got XL working on my laptop. Re: Bite Size Descent -BETA-

There is definitely a notable lack of space in some levels - I tried to minimalize start rooms to free cubes for the bulk of the level. Only a few have rooms that accommodate coop starts, but most of them are too small - especially level 22, where you can allow a single extra start if you don't mind...

With people having figured out the Overload editor reasonably well, I think it's about time one of these happened.
