My guess at the time was that she withheld the endorsement to angle for VP, but that endorsing Sanders would've made her even more valuable/significant as VP. Interesting take, I hadn't thought about that. A friend of mine and I were talking about the VP pick this morning and how Warren is the only...

It's frustrating when a majority of Americans support things like medicare for all and marijuana legalization, but yet I'm going to have to vote for a fringe third party yet again just to have any representation.

It aggravates me how it all happened, too. Biden enters as the front runner, then basically falls off after the debates started because everyone sees he's sundowning. He doesn't get the scrutiny a top tier candidate normally gets for months and really only campaigns in one state. He wins SC and the...

Wow, only 63.73 USD. I think most of my purchases have been external (Humble Bundles, Kickstarters, etc.). Also, I run Linux, so I have a fraction of the temptation available as to what most of you have.

Like you indicated however, too much of the Acetaminophen is bad for the kidneys, so I try not to take more than 1000mg total in a day. Fortunately, 500mg is usually sufficient. Unfortunately, having taken it for so many years has already affected my kidney function slightly. The price I've paid to...

I genuinely want an IQ test as a prerequisite to voting. I don't give a ★■◆● if it's a poll tax. Stupid inbred ★■◆● should have absolutely no say over the future of this planet. Is a woman being born with a man's body any different than any other natural advantage that a woman can be born with? At the highest levels, athletic competition comes down to genetic and environmental luck. Why is it more unfair for a woman to win because she was born with a man's body versus for a...

I suggest the admins/mods get together and craft a code of conduct I'm keen to do this. It seems like a code of conduct is sorely missing from here and might help fill in a lot of the gaps that currently exist in our rules. I'll start a thread in the moderator forum to gauge interest. Assuming this...

You have no free speech because you have no free speech protections. You just have speech the government hasn't decided to silence yet. Freedom of speech is a protected right under Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The right to free speech isn't absolute in any country. For instance sexual h...

Jeff, you said that raising a child is a way of passing on genes, so if nature doesn't create anything that would mean its own end, that means something else is creating homosexuals, and how we raise our children may have a lot to do with it. What I'm describing isn't nurture. It's genetic. For ins...

Are you talking about epigenetics? No. Parenting can be thought of as two steps, (1) creation of something that is genetically similar to you and (2) raising it so that it can one day parent itself. The necessity of step (1) is hopefully obvious. What might not be obvious is that step (2) is just a...

I'm somewhat jealous. When I moved to the great white north, buying marijuana from a store was one of the things I was looking forward to doing, but it's still months away here at the earliest.
