Re: DXX-Rebirth v0.57 released

This is great news! However, is the dev info page serious? "Not much to say?" I'd love to know how to query the info for display on my website. A lot more detail on how Matt's tracker can be queried would help. Please point me to the specifics cause I'm sure I'm missing it. Thanks for the ...

I will have to respectfully to bow out of this project for several reasons. The biggest of which are other priorities that have cropped up. Also, unfortunately, I dont feel that there is quite enough interest. Good luck and if time frees up again, I'll be sure to get some games in. [ Post made via A...

Valhalla II Update

One instance of Valhalla II will be hosting levels other than Skybox, Indika, and Subway Dancer each day of the week. If you're looking for a change of pace, start a game up by joining a server and hanging out for a bit.

Today's level is Carlitos Way by LEON.

Enjoy!

Re: Signups!

Yeah, it is a good point. If it was meant to be, we'd have a good list of people of all skill levels by now. That's what makes a good ladder is good amount of people of all skill levels. To me 25 would at least generate a top 5 that might be somewhat meaningful but we're not even close to it after s...

Alright well, I've decided 25 will be the magic number. If I can get 25 names that will commit to joining and actively playing, I'll look into beginning development on this ladder. There are already some detractors out there saying it won't happen. 1. Spud 2. Behemoth 3. Deliverance 4. Zero 5. Koolb...

Re: Descent Ladder Discussion

Yeah, I think we have to get away from invitation part. I think it was great back in the day when there was a lot of active players and interest. I think we just have a simple login system using your player name, and you report your losses and it updates the system/rankings automatically. I don't th...

Re: Descent Ladder Discussion

Cool. I'm just skimming the rules but it seems like a lot of it might be overkill given we are not going to have very much interest here. Some examples including having 4 people accept someone into the ladder, etc. I also agree with Avder on the fact that we'll likely have to create a new ladder to ...

Re: The DBB needs your help ....

My first choice would be XML and second choice CSV as I'm familiar with both. I like XML because it's common and as Jeff mentioned most languages have parsers built in for it. Although it does have some overhead, I think it's negligible in the case of Descent I and II tracking needs. Other query too...

Re: The DBB needs your help ....

Ryujin, the question whether to have the tracker handle the game info or not is more important to me than the format in which to send the game info. Your saying my proposition (2.2) is how you are handling D3 game info right now confirms my wish/decision to chose that path. To quickly get an idea h...

I canceled my live account a while back. Tourney is tomorrow night! I'm predicting the following outcome:

Darktalyn vs. Magnet0 in the finals. Darktalyn wins 20-9.

Several potential contenders for 2nd place though. This should be interesting.
