Diesel pricing here is just ridiculous. It's more expensive than regular petrol yet is less refined. WTF?!?! Heh, diesel here in Austin is now often more expensive than premium-grade petrol. If you're lucky, you'll only pay a few more cents per gallon more than mid-grade, but fairly-consistently, i...

I thought that all the Voodoos and such just got theirs from Clevo/Compal like Sager did (not all the same options are always available, though it could be because of some parts being replaced after final assembly). But it would make the price differences make more sense, if they had to buy from Sag...

I've heard a lot of good things about Sager. I also seem to remember hearing that they actually make the chassis for many of the high end custom laptop companies. Sager is actually just using the same chassis as most of the other vendors. Clevo and Compal I believe are the two companies that actual...

Yep, laptops are getting pretty rediculous these days. Gone are the days of only having portable, underpowered models. The portable models are pretty good, and the desktop-replacements are insane. I know I like my Sager 8790 (DTR), but it's only portable in the sense that you can carry without your ...

http://pctorque.com/4880.php Sager 4880, pairs Pentium M with Radeon X700 (PCI-E version of 9700, essentially). Just something else to also look at. Not sure much about ABS or Hypersonic, though I think Hypersonic at least is supposed to be a decent brand. Most of them are just versions of the same ...

Yep, you're pretty much screwed if you buy something like an MMORPG used. You'd hope that you'd be able to transfer the license key in addition to the media, but at least in FFXI, I'm pretty sure that one you've created an account with your license key, the two are bound. Though it may be possible t...

no, what i'm saying is that it'd be a shame if they were offended and went quiet, or requested i not make the reference again coz it offended them. if they requested as such, i'd respect their wishes. but it'd be a bummer. Yeah, it'd be a shame that someone would be offended by anything. :P Some pe...

Yes, if you go abroad, you have to expect there to be certain things that you might hear because of misconceptions or whatever. However , after the misconception has been cleared up with the individual and they are asked to please not make that reference again, you're saying that said traveler shoul...

That's because that it's a press release: information released to the press to then reprint in their publications. So someone might subscribe to a gaming magazine and see the note there with the number to call. Of course, why these people don't have internet access, I've no clue. Even if you didn't ...

Those are basically the best review sites I ran across while doing my own search. Canons are well-respected, and were one of the main brands I was looking at. Nikon's up there, as well. (Of course, people hate Sony and I ended up with a 5MP Sony, but hey, it seemed to meet all my needs and quality w...

The First Amendment was basically put in there to stop the government from interfering with what private citizens say about them, what newspapers print about them, and and guaranteeing the right to peacefully assemble in a public location. It's not a catch-all for being able to say or do or print wh...

Maxtor, Seagate and WD drives (don't know about others, havn't used them) all have their own Utilities (usually come w/ the drive, or DL from the web) that make this painless.. you just hook up the new drive, boot w/ the utility disk and follow the instructions- they format the new drive and then m...

Usually ident isn't a big deal, anyway. I've just had issues where it'd take 10-15 seconds (until the ident request times out) to join a server. I'm assuming that you've tried multiple servers, to eliminate a server- (or service-) specific issue? What sort of errors (if any) are you being given? (Th...
