Re: Introducing 'Silent Fury', a D3 mod project

A small update: Work on the project was finished a few weeks ago, I'm just waiting on a few of the voice actors to finish their lines and then put the campaign through some additional checks - It looks like I'll be releasing it toward the end of this month. Here is a very brief clip: https://youtu.b...

Everyone goes through a 'phase'. Usually it involves dressing up as Power Rangers, or in my case, as Redshirt getting blasted by an exploding console.

I'll wait for the followup article in a few years when he becomes a T e e n.

I still need to find more voice actors for parts - anyone is welcome. PM me if interested :)

I already have some names on file, so if you've contacted me before you don't need to again.

Introducing 'Silent Fury', a D3 mod project

Introducing a 5-mission Descent 3 campaign set in the 'Hyperspace' universe, originally established in the multiplayer trilogy in 2003 and later in the 'Basewars' openworld environment in 2006. Back in 2009 I wanted to develop a single-player variation of Basewars with a storyline and customized mis...

Need voiceovers for D3 campaign

I'm currently finishing up working on a new Descent 3 single player campaign (well, technically a HYPERSPACE campaign for those familiar with it) and I have several parts that need voice work done. There are about 4-5 main parts with up to 100 lines of dialogue each, and about 10-15 smaller parts wi...

I supported their efforts and gave them a sizable donation during the KS. Overall though, just like Krom, I just don't really play Descent or games much at all these days, with the exception of the odd bit of modding. I praise them for their efforts and they are a nice bunch of guys. But Underground...

Re: Optimizing Resolution for Descent 3

Don't forget to grab the modified 32-bit graphic patch if you're using a new computer. It will improve those horrid texture issues. Matt and the team did mention they have a new 1.5 build on the backburner that they *might* finish at some point. It supports D3 in Windowed mode (as seen on the livest...

How hard would it be to have a torrent of all this bonus content? I'm talking about a single torrent file with everything. A torrent would allow people to download exactly the individual files that they want or download the whole thing and help host the files. And if we get enough participants it m...

You could try uploading it into the Unsorted folder - I'm not sure if a 1.8GB file will complete. The upload process is divided into chunks, so it should work, but I've never tested it. Maybe split it into a smaller set of 100MB archives? Or just unzip the folder and upload that. If that doesn't wor...

Archiving all of our ★■◆●

Over the holidays I put together a new website called Descent Files. It's basically a variation of my other site, FreeSpace Files. Since so many Descent websites have disappeared I figure it's time we had a place to keep everything stored. The point is to archive everything we have made over the yea...

I experimented with something like this when working on Basewars (see the Doom Vulture missile). In the end I found it crashes the game too much and doesn't really have the desired effect. It can be done though.

So long as personal attacks and/or excessive insults, incitement to commit crime or actual violence aren't involved, I don't see how censoring someone and/or something is really progress. Do not trust that tabloid! It's pure purpose is to titillate with sex, sex crimes, 'Aha, gotcha!' moments and stupid stories like sea monsters, UFOs etc. They follow their own agenda and are absolutely *brutal* with disseminating misinformation - Many times worse than anything Fox news can put out.
