X, I know.. shame on me for posting something that requires a bunch of computer nerds to step outside their little box and into the sunshine. I think the only sports these guys are aware of is circle jerking..... in the house, next to the computer of course.
I'll be riding this w/e. The water's already up to about 65 and I took the boat out last Wednesday to get her ready for the season. I'm jones'n to skate.

X- I didn't catch the Adkinson part of your post first time around.
You hitting his camp this year? I was thinking about checking it out but I'm not down to fly to Fl to do it. That dude can ride, though.
There's a few camps locally that I've considered hitting but, I ride with some of the pro's and semi-pro's that instruct. Why pay when they're on your boat all summer?

Yeah, we went out today. I learned a batwing. I had messed around with it last year, but changed technique coming off the wake and it was gravy. Dropped a few out in the flats, I love it .
One of my buddies who rides comps. is on the CWB national team. Adkison is coming to stay for a week with him, gonna be about 5 of us who get a discount rate (If I end up being able to go due to having to graduate this damn 2-year college over the summer).
On a diff. note though. Theres a guy from Atlanta who's doing a dvd for wakeboarders in GA. Probably kinda like the Delta Sessions vid you west-coasters put out. Me and a lot of guys I know are supposed to be in it. Only thing is, he wants to shoot most of the footage next weekend. I wanted to wait till later in the season when I could bring more to the table. We'll see how it goes though...

I do both and prefer wakeboarding any day. No they're not really alike, wakeboarding is far more difficult.I wonder if it's anything like snowboarding
nothing like water skiing either.I've tried waterskiing, and although I suck, it was really fun.
I dunno about ever, but, it's pretty difficult.I heard wakeboarding is one of the hardest things, ever.
It's very different than surfing and a bit more difficult.I can't see how it would be harder than surfing...

It's definitely a lot of fun. The only downside is it's somewhat of an expensive hobby. But if you have friends with boat(s), that's a big obstacle out of the way right there. And with gas prices going up, that kinda sucks too...
I prefer wakeboarding over snowboarding as well. Something about having all your friends in the boat while you ride creates a really great atmosphere. Hell, when it's 90 degrees and the sun's out, there's not many places Id rather be than out on the lake with the best of friends and bikini-clad girls. But that's just me
