I love that model, sweet work Ferno
Only one thought came to mind as possibilitys,, but dont get me wrong I love it as is.. drools :)
If following an electrical/unknown energy theme, you may add lil single solinoid boxes on the 2 shoulder and 2 elbow (kinda like nitrogen pacs) pacs.
if following a pneumatic theme, possibly a sert and small hose going into the arm/shoulder from the pac.
Thing is though, that might busy it up too much, and who says it needs to look real to that point ,I dunno, it looks awesome right now 8)

Was surfin' the net for some plasma gun pictures. Found this: Click to view

Interesting idea. Seems to be for some kind of game/patch. Very cool looking plasma gun. We could do something based on that perhaps?

Edited: long url screwed page up - V read this please Linking to another site KoolBear 5/13/07

That IS a cool model. Reminds me of something out of UT or Q3.

I like the cartridge idea.

The \"cage\" guards, functionally are a bad idea though. They would bend or hang up on something. It would be better to use a secondeary cage that folded shut over for ammo harrness being hinged at the bottom. (i know.. it just my thoughts. ;))

now my design is getting ripped? I'm puttin a lot of effort into this and that just seems like i've just been slapped in the face.

Ferno, wasn't meaning to slap you in the face. :) I asked you to make a low poly version for in-game. It sounded like you didn't have time so I made it because I'm anxious to get a demo out. It is your design and I don't intend to rip yours off. I meant it more as a compliment. If you don't want me to use it, it's cool. If you want to make a low poly version yourself for this project, it's fine. Just let me know. :)

right.. so could you make one based off your own ideas?

Dude, fix the damn link! BB code is there for a reason. Oh Messenger, if you're going to use someone else's design, its considered common courtesy to give them credit.

I planned too. But yes, I should have placed his name under the picture. Forgot to do that before I posted. I did send a PM last week trying to get his consent to do this but never received a response on the matter. Wasn't sure what to do. Anyway, model is now destroyed.

I tried fixing that link like 5 times. Doesn't seem to work on my end. I can edit my other posts but not that one for some reason. I click submit and I get a blank page every single time.

Thanks for the fix. I kept trying to do that. Didn't seem to work. Anyone know what was up with that?

Looks like Ferno and I have addressed the issue. I've deleted the model and the image from my hard drive. So it no longer exists. I'm not sure how to get it off from imageshack as I didn't log in to add the picture. If I can figure out how to do that, I'll remove it from there as well.

I appreciate your understanding Ferno.

Ok Ferno,

Are you going to put some BULK into that HULK??? or are you going to keep it anorexic like yourself?

Question: Would making a copy of the original fusion cannon from D2 and implementing it into D3 as a graphical enhancement mod be considered illegal? I need a fusion cannon model and I think everyone likes the original barney blaster better than the new one. I might change it a little though. Mostly just a curiosity.

smarter hulks don't need to be bigger. ;)

remember: this is an impression; or an inspiration by the original. not a recreation.

What is the secondary barrel on the Fusion for? Honestly? I can't think of a function or purpose for it?

To look cool.

It's not a barrel. It's a rod. I always thought the it was part of a counter-recoil system. Where the \"block\" in front around the barrel slides back when the gun is fired.

It's probably not that. Just an esthetic.

WOW! ferno, you may want to visit the 'Descent to UDK Forums' and show them your stuff!
That would fit right in with the TheAscentProject models.

Looks Awesomely Dangerous!
