Any Botanists?
Found a bulb on a beach in the Florida Keys 25 years ago and been growing it in a clay pot ever since. It has now bloomed. See if you can identify it.

Looks like a kind of Agapantha (or Agapanthus as Wikipedia just revealed to me)

Then maybe it might be something else

Yes. Even tho I put it outside in the summer, for some reason it is blooming now. Only thing different is I've taken to watering it it with the water I use to rinse the coffee pot. Perhaps it likes the increased acidity.flip wrote:Is this the first time it has bloomed in those 25 years?
Tricord, I don't think it is a Lily of the valley type flower but then if I knew I wouldn't be posting here

Cool. Thanks Flip. I kinda thought the bloom had a \"Spidery\" look about it. Interesting that the bloom is sterile. Also saw some red variants on the net that look pretty cool too. A bit after I took the flower pic I saw this little guy sitting on one of the lily's leafs. He is a common Grey Tree Toad that must of been down among the roots when I brought the plant in last fall. I set him loose outside after taking his pic so he can join the rest of his kind for this springs breeding season:
