Hello. Back into Descent after a 18 year hiatus. Downloaded from Steam. How/where do I find multiplayer games? Thanks!!

For D1/D2, I would recommend Discord. You can occasionally get lucky and spot games on one of the trackers, but if you want to arrange games when they're not already running, it's probably the best way to find someone.
