What'd you drink for New Year's?

Post by Asrale »

White cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir wines here. Both impulse buys, wanted to try something new. Image And sparkling apple cider of course, that stuff is always the shiz! Image

Sparkling Apple Cider. Half a Wine Cooler...

I wanted to break out the Vodka and Schnapps (Don't remember what kind) but since my Dad had already conked out and was asleep at 10pm and I was watching the countdown with my Mom, she felt a half of a wine cooler was sufficient.

You'd think spending the New Years with your parents at 23 years old they'd atleast treat you like an adult but alas, they wanted to save the liquor for themselves I guess Image

Coffee..... Lot's and lot's of coffee

Spent new years eve night in my barn helping one of my sows deliver a litter of pigs.
What really sucked is SHE got to drink 3 40 ouncers while I had to stay sober(we use the beer to calm down nervous first time mommas of which she was one).
This will definately go down in my personal history as one of my top 10 blunders while raising pigs. Next year I'll be paying a little more attention to potential delivery dates during breeding season.

A beer (Jupiler), then a fine Bordeaux wine with dinner, and then a Sauternes white dessert wine to finish with.

Some punch (you know, as in punch bowl), a little bit of red wine, one gulp of whiskey. I guess that was it.

Started out with a 1998 bottle of Drylands "Dry Riesling" - a truly magnificent wine at the height of its powers. Followed by two huge G&Ts and then two litres of Ginger Beer - 6.2%!! Image

Too much! Image

17 shots of Sidekick (20%/shot)
6 shots of Jack D.
2 Stella's
2 Groolsch (sp?!)
And a 2L bottle of Pepsi! Image

All the beer was drunk by 11pm, so I was fine by 12:05, when the comsumtion of the sidekicks started and had me wellied !

Once I was sober again about 5 am ish I had the Jack D, YEHAW!

The about 6-7 I downed the Pepsi and was healthily active for a few hours.

1400 hours, the hangover kicked in. Image

Stella/Groolsch and *cans* of Miller are def. my favorite cheaper beers.. althought they tend to be the more expensive.

nothing beats some good ol' Belly-beer, tho ! (Belgium)
