it's not fake. it made national news a few months ago. sorry!
however, i'm not sure it is funny. the guy was injured. the kids were probably traumatized. it's definitely not funny "ha-ha". it may be funny "i need a fifth of gin now" funny.
Hrm I thought they're not supposed to have guns loaded when talking to kids?
Man was calm though. Good job on that one. Staying calm is the most important thing when you're in a roomful of kids... If you panic, they will panic.
Screwed by the old "one up the spout". That's so fusking crazy - I can't believe a trained gun user doesn't know, and doesn't check to see if he has one in the chamber. I hope the guy lost his nuts, *and* his job.

Mobi, you should stick to subjects you understand...Didn't you watch that video? Anyone who has used an automatic handgun would know what mistake(s) he made... and there were actually several.
It is staged, imo. Watch the uncut video below, notice the reaction (or lack of) from the children in the audience (in fact they laugh later) as well as the sudden disappearance of the limp from the *injured* officer in the end. Ask yourself how one would expect a room full of young children to react if a very loud gun unexpectedly discharged in close proximity to them. At the very least I would expect some would be visibly startled. In all likelihood some would also express fear by crying out. I witnessed none of those predictable reactions. Notice also that no one seems in much of a rush to summon medical assistance and the lecture continues.
You believe it, Pally, because you want to believe it. *shrug* I don't believe it because the reaction doesn't bear out that it was authentic.
