I'm thinking of this one level that is real good for rats, but what was the name? It was one of the early D3 user levels... Variance was what it was called, it is a two level set, both levels are really good for tunnel rat players.

Too bad they are lost and forgotten in the face of boxy, porly textured, or unlit levels.

Something else to take into account when picking what level to host on your server.

Currently there are 4 empty Indika servers, several skybox varaiations - mostly empty, 2 pyroglyphic servers - empty, a brain salad server - empty, a kata server - empty, etc.

Why not host a level like Variance or Canyon Siege that are not on any servers rather then hosting a level that already has servers running? If you are going to run a server, run a level that has a need, not levels that are already widely available.

As far as the Pyroglypic servers go, I prefer straight anarchy vs. team anarchy. If they were anarchy I'd be there.

Canyon Seige sucks. Not a big fan of Variance either.

Let's do like AOD or somethin if people are too afraid of The Core. =D

Get Mad. It was a joke level made by eyerate that was just a jumble of bad faces.

Wet Spot might be a bad level, but at least it was intended to be a real level. ;)

EDIT: And Roly Poly is a neat little level that's like a sphere with a middle and there are tubes that run along the sphere and connect to the middle. There is no up or down.

Are you planning to \"rotate\" levels?

It seems to me that one of the complaints we keep hearing is that people only play certain \"popular\" levels and have never even been exposed to the very good but less popular levels.

Well, how about an anarchy server that swapped levels every half hour (or even 15 min?). Make every other level one from the \"popular\" list, and the odd levels some of the gems that have not yet been discovered by most players.

I would vote for indika but there are enough servers up already and that level is actually too open to be considered for a tunnel rats level.

Vamped and athena in d3 are practically the same and i find them both a bit boring.

I vote for nocturnal 1.2

Clutch used to do that at LANs. He wrote a program that automatically generates mission files with 32 random levels in them and then distributes it to all the LAN players. We could do something similar with a custom mission.

Suncho, that would be good, have 32 levels in one mn3 or whatever (I'm no programmer) and have them set to 30 min a piece.

Would make it interesting.

Vander's Revenge is not a level, it's a mission. Pulling Teeth is sort of a tunnel rat level, and Hash Bash is too open to be a tunnel rat level.

I would have to vote for Burning Indika 3...or Indika 5.

Uhh... a tunnel rat level surely must actually have tunnels? The Core has maybe one, and it doesn't get used that much.

I'd be thinking more like Fusion Rat's Paradise, but then that isn't D3.
