To install the Total Commander plugin, copy the .wcx plugin into some folder of Total Commander, then either run Total Commander, go in its options, and set it up there, or close any working instances of Total Commander, open "WINCMD.INI", and modify it manually.
*note, that "WINCMD.INI" on a newer versions of Total Commander does appear in a hidden folder of "Documents and Settings", while the older versions have it in "C:\WINDOWS".
1) Configuration -> Options... -> Packer -> Configure packer extension WCXs.
2) in "WINCMD.INI" add a string "hog=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx" (or wherever your plugin is) under "[PackerPlugins]" section.
Repeat this for other extensions, like "mn3", "d3m", "pak".

Example :

[PackerPlugins]
hog=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx
mn3=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx
d3m=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx
pak=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx
wad=C:\Program Files\totalcmd\plugins\pack.wcx

A file commander recognizes files by their extension (as also does an OS).
If you want, that the file would be tried by its content, then press Ctrl+PgDn.
