Re: Ryzen 7800X3D VS 9800X3D
I doubt different fans will make all that much difference on a 360MM AIO with a ~150w max heat load. At most you might get like 1C from tinkering with the fan directions. For instance in my system I have two radiators in the front and top with a total of 5 fans all exhausting out the case, then ...

Re: Ryzen 7800X3D VS 9800X3D
Unless you are doing some heavy compute lifting that actually needs 16 cores/32 threads, the 9800X3D is faster on average in gaming than the 9950X3D. If you just want the fastest gaming CPU there is with "money is no object", then the 9850X3D (a binned 9800X3D) exists with an even higher boost. The ...

Re: Ryzen 7800X3D VS 9800X3D
I did upgrade from a 7800X3D to a 9800X3D in my own system early last year I think. Took a good while to get one in stock. I did it mostly because I was highly amused by the ability to upgrade a CPU generation without having to get a new motherboard or RAM, since the last time I was able to do that ...

Re: Ryzen 7800X3D VS 9800X3D
The 9800X3D gets some of its advantage from better packaging, its cache dies are below the logic instead of above it like the 7800X3D, so it has better thermals and more consistent boosting behavior on top of the improved architecture. 8% on average is probably not worth $100 today, since either one ...

Despite how it sounds, that error is not a multiplayer or even D3 exclusive error, it is actually a display driver error indicating a failure for the game to take exclusive full screen control. Things to try are make sure your renderer is set correctly, or try OpenGL, or even try a glide wrapper ...

A much simpler solution to modern trucks being so ridiculously long and huge that they don't fit in the road anymore would be to just make them smaller again!

"almost"?
This place is so dead it is starting to fossilize.
It might be more artificial lively with annoying spambots if our particular spam registration countermeasure wasn't nearly impossible to decipher. I suspect it trips up actual humans fairly reliably too.

Yes a number of Linux distros can use secure boot, although depending on what hardware/drivers you are loading (nvidia for instance), you may have to go through the process of signing some of them manually and/or at every update.

I think the main thing they use to sell secure boot is that it prevents malware from working its way into the boot process, but I suspect it is also related to DRM, anti-cheat, and other ways of allowing corporations the ability to deny you control of hardware and software you have paid for.

Well, the way to get around it is instead of closing task manger with the X like normal, just end task on itself in the apps tab and it closes properly.
