Stryker, I don't like levels where you can't get to the ball either. I would suggest changing the idea based around that. Also I thought it would be neat for multiple drop off points, thus creating a network of air tunnels under the map to return the ball to it's starting point. Or maybe even move i...

Xamindar, Yeah, that's the error. Alan Cox say's it's a bad cable. So I'm going to attempt a replacement later, and see how it turns out. As for the Nvidia, I'll try some of those solutions, and hope for the best. There are alot of things I can do reguarding that though, as I've changed quite a few ...

Xamindar, Sorry for not being able to get my server up as soon as I'd like. I'm having alot of troubles converting to the 2.6.8.1 kernel. I've almost squared away all my problems. The only two left are a hda CRC error which from all the research I came across points to a faulty IDE cable. I believe ...

I need help listing for all the trackers. Mind you, I'm a Linux dedicated server so I'm using a gamespy.cfg file that looks as such: 1 master0.gamespy.com:27900 1 tracker.kali.net:22999 1 tracker.descent.cx:27900 I would also like to be listed on Kquery, and All-Seeing Eye. Hey SkyNet, what's that server's address? Sence PXO went down I haven't played any D3 online because it takes too long to find a game (if there even are any anymore) that I can connect to without getting the "levels don't match" message. So, sence it's a linux dedicated server then I shou...

Just mentioning this. Quake III source code could go open source by end of 2005. Perhaps checking into its network code may provide better solutions for Descent 3 network code. Those are your words. From my take on it, you basically said AMD isn't worth looking at. Once I again I state, you have no idea what you're talking about.

You had a driver problem with your ATI card, and thus conclude that ATI cards and nForce boards dont mix. You also make a blanket statement that Asus mobos dont support Linux. Arch, I really hate when other people feed someone BS. You don't have any idea what you are talking about. Except the RAM in which case you're right. Have a look at this , and tell me AMD is crap. Ned, Unlike what some other user has said VIA will be fine. If you ever plan to run an ATI video card then having an nForce board can sometimes lead to problems. I would also avoid Asus motherboards simply because Asus doesn't support Linux, and it's been proven that certain Asus technology doesn't ...

Sage, This is why we have a catch-22. If you're not going to run Linux, then what's the point in making games for it? Yes Suncho, Infernal Bolt does support Monsterball, and I thought it would be pretty fun to play because it looks like it will be hard to get the ball into each goal.
