Re: HPV vaccine
Teens are plenty educated about sex - about the physical mechanics and the modes of protection and even the life costs (flour babies anyone?), though you can't really expect that latter point to sink in until they've grown up enough to see the effects - lovers breaking up, single parent families, m...

Re: HPV vaccine
Thankfully for my parents, I was scared of sexuality when I was a teenager. I also never came closer than about 2 feet to a girl, so the opportunity never came up.Will Robinson wrote:It's sad though because I know their inhibitions and hangups will rub off on her in spite of my attempts to help her...

-If you want a different texture applied to the same object, just create another material. But remember, one 2048x2048 texture is better then two 1024x1024 textures (less render passes) Wouldn't the equivalent be four 1024x1024 textures? Also, refresh my memory, did you guys mention anything about ...

Maybe this will drive it home- If a person has a .50 cal(or any other large caliber) but cannot effectively make hits with it, it is a useless weapon to that person. It is not an inherently inaccurate weapon, the person is inaccurate because the person shooting it cannot control it, so it is useless...

yeah, that much I knew. I've talked to Hexetic before about it. Q4 has the support, but I know the guys don't want to use Q4. Good thing too, at least for me. Due to the age and make of my video card (ATI RADEON 9200), I have 2 rendering choices: pixel shaders with full-screen green tint, or color ...

Diedel, have you looked at any other open source projects that use shaders. DarkPlaces seems like a good place to start, as it is programmed in C (though it might be QuakeC), supports shaders, and uses real-time shadowing well. It might be a good reference. If not, you're welcome anyway.

The other fabrication is that it's either one or the other. It's not. That's an argument made up by civil libertarians and the left. So that's why you kept saying I was a doctrinal leftie/libertarian. Well, by your reasoning you were right in saying that, but thankfully Drakona pulled the wool away...

Also, google used to do this which is quite funny. It doesn't any more though. This still kinda surprises me, as the French had an impressive army, and at one time a pan-european empire, along with many trading and colonial exploits. They also fought valiantly in WWII, they just put the Maginot Lin...

I fractured my right wrist, I can't take the .45. I have no qualms about putting a few rounds in someone. One, three, whatever. I'd have a minimum of two anyway. Although I'm not particularily knowledgeable on the subject, isn't two rounds to the chest followed by one to the head standard procedure?

Ok, that would be halo and quake style. However, I would think that seeing through the destinat...

they decided which Gospels would be accepted and denounced the rest as heresy. Yes, after a great deal of scholarship, debate and prayer*. *if you refute on the grounds of prayer, then obviously you are against organized religion as a whole, since logically prayer would help one organize a religion.

Banning guns because some people may use them for crime is about as reasonable as banning computers because pedophiles use them to prey on our children. it's just downright evil to prevent every citizen of a country the rights and privelleges they deserve, simply because you feel threatened by it's government. Re: D2X-XL tracker by Koolbear
A few months ago Koolbear had installed a tracker for D2X-XL, but I could never make D2X-XL detect it. Well, when debugging the OS X version last weekend together with simX, we caught some tracker data packets that had come from KB's server, judged by the first three octets of the IP address, and i...
