Oops, forgot to tell you about the package. Well, +6 just specified the number of lines that tail went back; it was replaced by -n +6 (or -n 6 i think.) I second joining NuB. They've really helped me so far.

This is a symptom of the new version of tail (+n has been deprecated for a while now, i think), there's an environment variable that you can set, lemme see what it is:

export _POSIX2_VERSION=199209

That gets you the old POSIX standard.

My problem isn't with D2X. The problem is that the HAT really isn't 2 axes. It's 4 buttons. The kernel is recognizing it as a Button, which is understandable because ABS_HAT0x seems to be an axis.
