I know, I have no one to blame but myself for waiting so long and procrastinating. Fortunately the HD that failed was still under warranty and they got me a free replacement. I now have it in a device that makes it an external USB drive. It will soon be set up to be my main backup solution, and I ha...

The greater Milwaukee area's had worse. Temps have been somewhat mild, mostly in the mid/upper 20s F with plenty of snow since Thanksgiving weekend. It snowed dawn till dusk last Saturday. Almost a foot's worth remained on my lawn before it started getting back into the mid/upper 30s, which will pea...

Back from the Brink
Just in case some of you were wondering where the hell I've been lately... My 7-year-old 1.4GHz P4 finally burnt out its IDE controllers after shutdown Sunday, November 11th, and the next night greets me with a \"disk read error\". It won't boot from an XP CD, but the data on the HD surviv...

As promised, some action stills of their demise! First, Kenny gets it down the middle with my ice scraper, reminiscent of the first Halloween episode. The first hack was off-center, but the next one kinda made up for it: http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z95/sedwick1024/DKenny1post.jpg http://i191....

Emotions do reveal truth. For example, an emotional person who has too much to drink at a party will more than likely speak the truth like I've seen some classmates do. Look at people who break down in front of a judge. Emotions reveal truth. Bee The truth about how you FEEL, perhaps. Emotions can ...

Happy Halloween from South Park!
In honor of South Park being on the air for a full decade, I decided the boys would be the theme for the jack-o-lanterns I'd carve this year: http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z95/sedwick1024/SouthParkJOLs.jpg And on display: http://i191.photobucket.com/albums/z95/sedwick1024/HalloweenLineup.jpg So...

Thats what I would do too. Take a picture with the jacket and the belt...and at the same angle the police officer would have viewed it. Not only that, but try getting similar light/shadows/glares/contrast by taking it on the same stretch of road at the same time of day in similar weather conditions...

But the truth is, Good, Bad, Etc. IS meaningless if all i have to look forward to is being a good memory. Ditto that. If I KNEW there wasn't a God, I'd be the biggest freakin' hedonist you ever met. I too had to fight those little bastards! We saw several last year, but this year they just exploded. Got to see lotsa young ones, too. From my church bulletin: A Message from Fr. Jim . . . My dietary advice, with a focus on carbs: eat only whole-grain breads and pastas, and cut out high-fructose corn syrup. Drink 100% juice instead of anything sweetened with HFCS or other processed sugars. You'll keep your insulin levels lower and feel less hungry. I'd consider regular exercise vital ...

I think I read something in either PC Magazine or The Code Project: you know your new OS is in trouble when people are still coming into stores begging for a system with XP installed. People are also having trouble installing the downloaded Vista; it gets to a certain point, a reboot I believe, and ...

I want a Gravis phoenix with USB port so I can use it on my laptop... maybe when I have time I will (try to) make an adapter similar to Grendel's for the 3Dpro, no promises, though I wonder if this would do the trick. If you can find one, and you still have a pre-USB keyboard port, you could do worse than a Gravis Phoenix. Turn, pitch, roll, and throttle all at once without touching a button (that you can save for sliding). Golly I miss that old thing...

Both Kolodiejchuk and Martin assume that Teresa's inability to perceive Christ in her life did not mean he wasn't there. In fact, they see his absence as part of the divine gift that enabled her to do great work. But to the U.S.'s increasingly assertive cadre of atheists, that argument will seem ab...
