Sorry but I ain't a stoopid little blind follower. I want sources ... sources of the information Doug Thompson claims as fact. Sources that Doug Thompson conveniently failed to post along with this blow by blow detail of the said meeting. Some of you people want so bad to hate the Reps that you jum...

Seems to me the express wish of the founding fathers was that every generation of Americans would revisit the constitution and change it according to their needs and wants The purpose of a constitution is to change it as little as possible. It is the supreme law of the land and contains the precept...

Pick Your Preferred Holiday Greeting
In these hyper-sensitive, politically-correct times we find ourselves living in, it would be fitting to gauge the sentiments of the denizens of the Descent BB regarding their preferred holiday greeting.

Smacking down with facts? You give me facts FROM the bible, and it doesn't work that way. There is no outside evidence that you can state that proves your case, if you could, well then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Not LOL funny, but good for a chuckle... A U.S. Marine squad was marching north of Basra when they came upon an Iraqi terrorist, badly injured and unconscious. Nearby, on the opposite side of the road, was an American Marine in similar but less serious state. The Marine was conscious and alert and a...

Japanese Vending Machines
They have some pretty wacky stuff.
I like the 'used' schoolgirl panties and the Rhinoceros Beetles vending machines.
When visiting Japan several years back, I remember getting a kick out of buying cans of beer from vending machines in a hotel hallway.

And, while you can state that the early traps would not work, I don't see why that would be the case. They would need to be made of strong wire, as has previously been discussed, and their success rate would be lower, but their effectiveness would begin at greater than zero and progressively grow. ...

Been away for a few days with school and work; the usual suspects... You're going way beyond Dr. Behe's analogy. It's not about marketing, and everyone, including Behe, is well aware of the fact that mousetraps are built by intelligent agents and don't naturally reproduce. Behe's claim was that unli...

Mercury, The mousetrap illustrates one of the fundamental flaws in the intelligent design argument: the fact that one person can't imagine something doesn't mean it is impossible, it may just mean that the person has a limited imagination. I won't go in detail about the other steps you disputed. The...

May I get my old user name back?
About three years ago, the Descent BB's database crashed (or something like that, anyway). My old account was a casualty back then. For some reason, after it was brought back on line, I could not log in under my original name Repo Man . The BB would also not let me create a new acccount with that ol...
I played F.E.A.R. all the way through a few weeks ago. It was spooky. I liked it more than Doom 3. From what I have read about it, F.E.A.R. does not use the Doom 3 engine; they developed their own. I also played Quake 4 through as well. I wasn't too thrilled with it either, but it did have nice play...
