I haven't tryed FFXI, but it looks kinda washed-out, although rich in detail, the colors don't look nearly as vibrant and alive as WoW. Hope you're having fun either way. Those screenshots I posted are from a washed-out looking area, devoid of most life. There some absolutely, jaw-dropping landscap...

Yet another new folder!
Just recently (finally!) completed my first unit on my iMac "server". It's a 333MHz G3, so it's not exactly a screamer. I'm looking at what I want to do on my 2400+ desktop, but I hope to at least get the screensaver version running, if the full-time version doesn't surrender enough proces...

I have a Belkin G router that I'm currently using as an access point (signal wouldn't go through the walls well enough). It's okay, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go with something else. (The signal issue could just be my house, but it's pretty crazy that I can't get a signal ver...

Use middle mouse button to open links into a new tab. Very useful, especially in reading a BB. Just go down a list, middle click the topic you want to read, then tab over and read each one. That's what I like doing. Just middle-click all the topics I want, then read the thread and close the tab whe...

What we should do is to get the elections set up, let the Iraqis choose whoever they want, offer the victor our help (only if they want it) in getting the initial government set up, then get the hell out and see how it goes. But most likely, if the people choose someone our government doesn't like, ...

I doubt there's anything objectionable for the kiddies.

I think you were reading a bit much into it. I don't see so much spousal worship as just sincere appreciation for the kind of person she is. When you find that someone who's just right for you, looking back, life without them wouldn't be as... well, I could probably try to argue it, but we'll just h...

This is a very skewed poll. Either you have to support the invasion of korea or iran, or both, or you have to have previously supported the invasion of Iraq. This gives no means for those who would not support any of the above options to express themselves other than by not voting. As mentioned sev...

I'm still not sure whether I like the original or director's cut better. I think that David Twohy was a complete dork in his little 10-second intro, but I'll ignore that for now. ;) It's hard to say because some of the changes do change the story some (or at least our impressions and thoughts). It's...

Ooh, speaking of salt, when boiling the noodles, put a little salt and oil into the water (not a lot, just a little bit). The oil will help the noodles not stick together (and add some flavor, so pick a kind you like), and the salt helps add a little flavor to the noodles, as well. (I want to say th...

I know, just Newman's is a better backup than run-of-the-mill Prego, in my mind at least. :D Sauce isn't all the hard to do, so he shouldn't need backup, but it's good to have a jar just in case, or if you just don't have the time to make your own. (Also a good way of seeing what you might like in y...

Yep, this whole immigration thing is seriously broken. People who try to use the system either may be denied access, or given a visa (but not a work visa, so they can't legally work here), while those that jump the border end up living and working here without any sort of penalties. I'm not saying, ...

It just seems so plausible that he's only trying to set himself up as the super bi-partisan/American of the next election, or whatever else he may be after. That's in the back of my mind, as well. Doens't matter who won, Tricord. We still lose. Yep, neither candidate was a really good choice, so we got the fun of voting for who we thought would screw up the country less than the other. At least with another term of Bush (IMO), nothing should really change that much (we already know what he's...
