Any wounded/starving animal is totally unpredictable, no matter how often you are around it and how well you think you know it. Be very careful with wounded animals. In all seriousness feeding wild animals can sometimes lead to disaster. I live with wild kingdom literally on my doorsteps, both front...

One of our D2 pilots at the Rangers was legally blind I think it was ZIP. He played by sound. Excellent player as he had a skill in being able to creep up behind you or set up a nasty ambush. Never underestimate him. However other disabilities kicked in and he had to take a LOA. Hey ZIP... hope you ...

I also vote she go to the local paper/press... drive a stake into her other eye. Good chance that the owner of the company has no idea what this manager is doing. When the press is at his door at 5:00 AM letting him in on the manager's policy, (hence his Company's policy) you can bet that by 8:00 AM...

Let me clarify. These are his police radio, and Parks radios. Not his music. These things take 10 amps or so of current each . That's at MAX. transmit (TX) power, receive (RX) is using less. So lets say at average the radios use 1-3 amps of juice during RX. Go here for education purposes; http://www...

New Techs With No Real World Experience...
Today I was asked to take a look at installing a radio into a Parks Canada truck. I popped off the fuse cover and was shocked to see Cat5 wiring used as the power supply to the existing 10 amp radios. WTF!? The tech used all the pairs... but this wire is rated to carry only 1 amp! His theory is that...

You mean compound bow? http://www.huntersfriend.com/bowselection.htm See if you can find an archery range in your area that rents the equipment and try several models. Try different draw weights and such... there's a lot of differences in the way bows shoot. Ask the owner of the range and shooters f...

Excellent advice Krom. This is for you 98/XP/Linux/etc., multi-boot junkies. I had that setup as you described with an ATA 133 controller from Promise. I removed it, and installed one with an ATA 133 and SATA 150 controller. Come to think of it my system went belly up right at the controller setup. ...

Smokers light up due to habit more than Nicotine cravings. 1/4 of a normal cigarette, (not the freebase ones) has enough nicotine to last the average body a whole day. Anything after that is wasted. I can now relate to my friends who have failed many times quitting smoking, because they are now expo...
