Good way to smoke your UPS, seen that come across my bench more than once. They aren't meant to hookup to huge inductive loads.

Daisy-chaining does NOT increase load capacity.

That modem also requires the USB cable plugged in as well, don't omit that. And they said to power reset the modem, hub, and then reboot the PC for any changes to take effect.
