There was no PlayStation version of D3. The PS1 version of D2, Descent: Maximum, had music from the redbook of the PC version. D1 for PS1 had the remixes of the original MIDI music.

the PS1 wouldn't have been able to run D3.

Heck, it was barely able to run D2. They had to simplify the models quite a bit to get it to run, from what i remember.

In that case, thats all there are. Like I said, only certain D1 MIDI tracks were made into remixes for the PS version.

They had to greatly simplify the levels themselves (which is why they are entirely different from the PC levels). It's pretty hard to simplify Descent's already-spartan character models. ;)

No problem. :) I'd recommend that converter to anyone looking to extract PS1 audio and video, if for nothing else than to enjoy the Engrish translations in the menus. :P

I was planning on writing a compliation of D1 midi, D2 midi + CD tracks and D3 music into one giant, sweet mix.

I wasn't able to finish it because I lost all of my working files in a hard crash months ago. This is only about 1/2 of what I ended up with before losing everything. The last 1/2 of the unfinished version included some badass mixes with the D2 CD tracks. :( :( :(

Somebody at VOGONs just posted a link to a sound card retrospective which features about a half dozen instances of Descent 1 intro on a variety of sound cards:

The "Conclusion and Links" page has links to all of the D1 stuff in .OGG and .MP3 format.
