Dear Core Decision Patrons,
As many of you know the Core Decision Portal was hacked. This was actually not an isolate incident. This is a server wide outage. They gained entry into the main server cluster and use a trojan virus that overwrote the index.htm, index.html, and index.php files in every directory of the servers.
At present we are restoring the damaged files from last night's backup and are working to get the system operational once again. The server logs are being turned over to the authorities, including the Department of Homeland Security.
Because your user information was stored in an encrypted database no user information was compromised to the best of our knowledge.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
Sincerely,
Zachary Briggs, Executive Producer

Perhaps this is relevant:
"Popular fantasy role-playing game, Final Fantasy XI, run by Square Enix, has been disrupted since 9 April by a distributed denial of service attack.
Bogus net traffic from hundreds of remotely controlled computers has bombarded the game's network.
NewScientist.com reports it could lead to further attacks by net extortionists on similar lucrative game communities. Betting sites were targeted last year."
