i'm not sure what they are talking about with this \"superior floatation\" thing they mention. does superior floatation mean NO floatation? maybe it's good if it sinks coz then it gets grip at the bottom of the lake - if you have a snorkel installed.

Well these tracks are rubber, each track is pivoted like a seperate wheel (so NO, you don't turn on the spot like a tank - ripping up the ground)
They actaully do less damage than tires. they only exert 1.5 psi of pressue to the ground.
The large rubber surface area means more overall friction, but spread out evenly over a large area.
+ MORE traction
+ LESS damaging to ultra-soft surfaces
- FASTER wear on the tire rubber
- MORE roll resistance
but they are about 5X the weight of normal wheels.
Watch the movies and you'll see they have much less environmental impact than tires which CUT into the ground.
