Darwinia - a different style RTS game

Post by Diedel »

A few weeks ago, there was an ad on Steam (the internet content delivery platform created by Valve Software) announcing a game named 'Darwinia'. From what I read and its looks I got curious, so I downloaded the demo. I finally got to play it two days ago, and got the full game immediately after having finished it. It's a cute RTS style game off the beaten path. The background story is that some computer scientist had a massive multi-processing computer network start to resonate on quantum level and create a digital lifeform inside it that is now threatened by a virus you have to extinguish.

Here is the link: http://www.darwinia.co.uk/

It's only USD 19,99 over Steam.

I really like it, and it's my first stroll away from 3D shooter games for a long time (tm).

I bet this game could be something for Bet. :)

It was out for a while.
I got a few mods for it from PCgamer, a gaming magazine.

I played the demo and thought it was fun, but not so fun that I want to buy it.

Thanks for thinking of me, and although I'm not a gaming person I'll take a look at it. :)

I only play D3 and sometimes Sims2 and thats about it.

I like the abstract, stylized look of the game.

I prefer to play a game using my brains, not just my (eye)balls ... :P

And [sarcasm] tags don't make sarcasm ... ...
