What's with the Bugatti Veyron's tail lights?

Post by Red_5 »

In pretty much every video of the Veyron you can see the tail lights blinking and flashing in a very cool way. I'm just wondering if that's intentional or something to do with LEDs and cameras... Either way it's pretty sweet :)

that's most likely the frequency of the LED's interference with the camera framerate.

LED's by nature are digital. So to adjust their brightness, you have to use a PWM circuit to control them.

A similar phenomenon is observed when a moving wheel appears still in videos.

that makes sense... Well that clears that up :)

Thanks

Although someone should write Bugatti and tell them to make the car do that intentionally. It looks way cool. Kind of like jet engine flames.
