with approval of Bryan Aamot the DLE-XP beta test phase has ended and the full version of DLE-XP is available in my Descent site's Links and DLE-XP sections.
The source code will be made available as open source under the GPL somewhere in the future.
Have fun the with program and go ahead and build some cool new missions for this old but still great game!
I Think I found 2 bugs for the robot maker, The Robot maker robot list bug and the Robot maker trigger bug. IF you open a saved level, The robot maker's used bot will be wrong, thus you can't add a trigger to activate the Robot Makers. Don't you understand guys?
Well cripes, can't you just explain it a little better. That's not asking too much, is it? It sounds like when you set up a Matcen and assign a robot for it to produce, then save and reopen the level, the robot is cleared from the list and you apparently can't make triggers to it (i.e. the Matcen is corrupted?).

DLE-XP appears to be trying to read d2x.hog from the main D2 directory. It needs to look in the MISSIONS directory instead.
(EDIT)And you might want to remove that error altogether anyway, as it will probably annoy the hell out of anyone who doesn't have the Vertigo Series.
(EDIT)Found somethin else. If I go to the Insert menu, select Cube, and click Reactor, DLE-XP inserts a normal cube.
Also, on the Insert Object menu, where's the Reactor option? The reactor set IS a separate object type, so one would assume that it would have its own entry .
d2x.hog/ham bug fixed. The problem is that you have the specified Descent program folder as the missions folder, which is ... wrong.
Will remove the error message. But who does not have the Vertigo extension nowadays?
Other bugs: Still to be fixed. Ofc there should be an insert reactor command in the menu, and issuing that command in the cube tool should insert a reactor.
Update: All bugs fixed now. Added "insert - object - reactor". Error message when d2x.hog not found removed.
I can confirm that, and I have a suggestion for the error message you took out from the startup: If the condition for it occurs when you create a Vertigo level, it should appear there. As people without Vertigo probably shouldn't be trying to make Vertigo levels .
I cannot confirm the matcen bug; I wrote that already. It doesn't happen for me. If I create a new level, add a matcen, assign some bots to it, save the level, reload it, everything is fine.
Here's a suggestion for you: When doing your history file, perhaps it might be helpful to sort the history from newest to oldest? (It's currently oldest-newest, which is slightly annoying)

Reversed the sequence of bug fix descriptions in the history file.
New program version available on my Descent Site (see my profile).
I guess the MatCen bug fixing is still in progress right?
I wrote already that I cannot reproduce it. If I cannot reproduce it, I cannot fix it. Sorry. Should I ever encounter that bug, I will fix it. You might help me by e-mailing me the level you were working on when this happened, and a description how exactly you ran into that bug.
One thing or more, if you open a level with a hxm file, it deletes the custom polymodels and unused custom robots, can you fix that. and also, make it so it can display the custom polymodels in the 3d view
I have fixed the bug with DLE-XP removing custom model data from HXM files, but I will not make it display custom models (too much effort). The fixed program is available on my Descent site.
