"Brown M&M's" ..Who knew??

Post by Duper »

So here's a vid blog with David L Roth of Van Halen.

Cliky!

Trust me, this is the most enlightening 5 minutes into the band you'll ever see.

Yeah, I heard about the reason they did that when I was taking a sound engineering class.
Quite interesting.

That's ★■◆●ing brilliant.

It's like one of those things the give you at some point when teaching you about following directions. One of the first instructions will be "read this entire list of instructions before you begin", and then between there and the end of the page there would be all sorts of zany tasks like hopping up and down on one foot while humming the star spangled banner, or trying to balance a number 2 pencil on your nose. Then at the very bottom, the last instruction would say something like "disregard every instruction on this sheet except instruction #2". What was instruction #2? Sign your name to the bottom of the paper.

It was a very very effective way to see who was following instructions like they should be, and who wasn't. Anyone who followed instructions got to sit there and watch everyone else make idiots of themselves because they didn't read the whole thing.

This brown M&M thing is like that, only on a "Magnificent Bastard" scale. It's ★■◆●ing BRILLIANT.
