Pure crazy evil.
I don’t believe it. I believe both blue and red are evil and I believe that none of you even know what conspiracy realists think about chemtrails.

Sounds like you have your mind made up already.
Tunnelcat wrote: Mon Jul 14, 2025 5:28 pm Let me ask you this. What's your "best evidence" for a flat earth? Remember, a flat earth violates all the laws of physics and gravity as we understand it....
There is no one "best evidence" for anything. It's only after you hear all the arguments and see all the observations and think about it that you start to realize that globe earth doesn't make any sense at all. A flat earth doesn't violate the laws of physics because it didn't "form on its own" like in evolution theory, it was created. Also, gravity is not what you think it is. Everything falls toward the flat earth except the sun and moon. Masses don't attract each other so there is no "universal gravitation." The story of Isaac Newton getting hit on the head with an apple isn't supposed to be a literal event. Funny how people who say the Bible isn't literal take the apple falling on his head as literal.

(it) doesn't explain why the earth has only cold north and south poles that don't go all the way around the edge
Yes it does. The sun moves between the tropic of capricorn and the tropic of cancer only. How does this not explain it?
doesn't explain why no human being has ever seen this edge
Says who?
doesn't match the shape of the rest of the planets in the entire universe
This is where your lack of understanding of flat earth really shows itself. The world isn't a "planet." Planets aren't real celestial bodies, and they're smaller than you think. There is no vast "universe," just the heavens and the earth. Flat earth isn't the same as geocentricity. Throw out your star/planet formation lie. The word 'planet' actually comes from the book of Jude in the Bible a greek word 'planetes' where Jude calls condemned sinners "wandering stars" for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. (Jude 1:13) He's talking about people, not stars.
doesn't account for where all the ocean water goes that falls off the edges and how it's replenished if it does
Ocean water wouldn't fall off any edges since everything is attracted to the earth or the waters below. There's also an ice wall surrounding the entire earth ("Antarctica") but nothing would fall outside even if there was no ice wall. The Bible says the earth is anchored onto nothing. Outside of the earth, the firmament, the waters above the firmament, and the waters below the firmament, there is a void. Nothing moves outside of it because it can't permit an electric field and no electric charges (and thus no matter/wave fields) will move outside of it. The Lord's heaven and the heavenly places are in higher dimensions.
doesn't explain where molten lava comes from since the idea of a molten mantle is not possible under a flat disk since space is cold
I'll admit, flat earth needs scientists to explain more, like earthquakes, but Hebrew cosmology says there's a hell under the earth, and there have been some observations of hearing people screaming deep within the earth. I think it melts the earth into magma/lava.
and doesn't explain what's outside your idea of a "firmament".
I just told you about that.
Everything you can come up with is pure fantasy related to a God no one has heard from for millennia.

Christians have heard from God, including myself. It's just your opinion that it's fantasy because you obviously haven't done enough research into flat earth and you don't seem to know the Bible, and in the other thread you didn't even know what the definition of a Christian is. The Bible says "whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him." (Hebrews 11:6)
Whereas, humans have been in space, orbited the earth, sent vehicles and probes to Mars, have landed on the moon and are currently circling the globe in a space station and have come back to tell about it. Too many different people experiencing similar experiences can nullify any conspiracy theory.
Those are all liars or told what to tell people so they won't be ridiculed or killed. Don't believe me? Watch the before and after interviews with Neil Armstrong et. al. After he "came back from the moon" none of them seemed very excited like they had just been on the moon.
Tourists have even been up to space to see the entire earth and can see it's round.
What about balloons that go up high in the atmosphere without fish-eye camera lenses and show that the earth is flat? If you were moving away from a ball it would be lower in your field of view and not at eye level, just like moving away from a basketball. Also, watch the videos of the ones with the rounded lenses from people who claim that the earth is a ball and you'll see that there are objects distorted by the fish-eye lens, like the ground. LOL
All of that travel is backed up by the mathematics of orbital mechanics, physics
Math isn't always reality. There's some more math/physics of orbital mechanics that you haven't considered. The earth is arcing in different directions at 66,616 miles per hour (666 and 616 are numbers from the Bible as well), yet somehow 9.81 meters per second per second is enough to keep us securely on the earth? One of the people on these forums (I forgot who) claims this doesn't make sense but he didn't refute it properly at all.
and actual film and photographs.
Many of which have been shown to be fake, like the controversial "earthrise" photo that was later doctored to make it look like the moon wasn't pasted on. NASA also forgot the scale of the supposed ball earth and space rock moon; it's like they were thinking of how we see the moon from the earth and made the opposite picture when the earth should be much bigger.
That's far more "evidence" than you can dream up or present.
On the contrary, your "evidence" is laughable at best. The ruling class depends on people's ignorance to keep them believing in things like heliocentricity, and you certainly have shown that you don't know enough about flat earth. That's what was done in schools, they didn't talk about it enough, and there's also a "Flat Earth Society" that nobody agrees with as the only alternative mentioned in school.
A lot of the stories in the Bible are pure fantasy. There are no contemporary personal references to any of the people in the book actually written by someone who lived during the same time these characters lived, even by the Romans.
Yes there are, as far as I know. I've heard about writings by people in the Roman government that have accounts of Jesus doing exactly what He said He could do (like healing, for example).
Most chapters were written decades after the supposed stories took place and you know how notoriously bad the human memory can be concerning events and the lives of others.
The Bible says the Holy Spirit will bring to the disciples' memory all that Jesus had taught them. Since the Holy Spirit can do that, He can certainly remind them of what happened.

Actually, the human brain was better off a long time ago than it is now. Satan put limits on the human brain using hyperdimensional strings; he can only receive authority from human beings. It's the cause of things like mental illness. "Doctors" don't understand how mental illness works, and they don't prove their hypothesis of "chemical imbalance of neurotransmitters" as their patients have no measurement taken of their brain when they are put on meds. The reality is evil spirits bother them and make them act up and make things weird for them and so on until they are put on meds, then the evil spirits leave them alone so that people think the meds are working. The evil spirits in turn get their energy/power but need authority to use it. "Voices" are usually evil spirits unless God is talking to you, and He exercises the authority to talk over them and also not to talk over them.
Even Jesus wasn't written about by his supposed disciples until around 40 to 60 years AFTER his life and death, so in all probability, he's a made up person, or at least seriously embellished. Given human predilection for exaggeration or just plain making things up to fit someone's narrative, my theory is that most of the Bible isn't fact, but instead parable and fantasy written by superstitious men with an agenda of pushing fear, power and control. And humankind is a far older species that's lived on this earth far longer than is claimed in the Bible. Tens of thousands of years, not 6000 years. Prove me wrong.
How can the Bible have equidistant letter codes throughout with meaning if it's just written by careless superstitious men? You and I both know that people back then couldn't think things up like a computer and put codes in there that confirm what the Bible says. Have you ever tried looking into this? Doesn't seem like it. Also, God can raise up a tree in one day or in a few seconds like in The First Book of Adam and Eve. Your theory isn't one that's very sound, and it also is what other unbelievers say when there are a lot of other things that push fear, power, and control besides religion. I don't feel "controlled and fearful" following Christ...

Oh, one more thing. :) The whole "evolution of the universe and the earth" thing is just Satan's lies about the cosmology in the Bible. I can tell you the analogy or some of it if you're interested.

I only do what Top Gun said when I don’t want to talk to you. Lol. Why do you call yourself that? I’ve never seen you actually play Descent multiplayer, unless you’re like Tunnelcat and just like the game. Notice I’m not like Suncho and claim you don’t like a game that you do like.
I chose this name when I was a teenager almost 25 years ago, but I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. No, I haven't touched Descent in probably something like a decade. Even when I did play it regularly I never found I never found deathmatch multiplayer a very compelling way to play the game. But again, that's completely irrelevant.

And oh boy, I thought I was prepared for the wall of nonsense but that is something else. You need to be put in a rubber room with a nice comfy white jacket.

Or go visit the Creationist Museum, where they claim dinosaurs and humans existed together and the earth is only 6000 years old. Better yet, go watch the Flintstones and get the same message from a stupid kiddie cartoon.

FYI, my sister is a die hard Evangelical. She thinks you're nuts. She thinks Mormons and Catholics are cultists, as do you. But since she's MAGA, she's the one calling the kettle black. You're ALL cultists.

Re: Flat earthers, explain this

I just want to jump in and share a story. I have a close friend who is super successful and holds multiple advanced degrees. Several years ago he had a religious experience and became a Christian. Not long after he mentioned something about a flat Earth, and I responded that to me it didn't matter if the Earth was round or flat, but a round Earth model is more useful because you can make predictions a flat Earth model can't. Also, if you accept that driving fast into a brick wall will destroy your car, then the physics behind that also point to a round Earth. We didn't follow up on that conversation until a few months ago when the topic came up again. And I'm here to say that I understand the logic behind believing in a flat Earth.

First, I can't overstate how important the Bible is to believers. It absolutely must be true otherwise life (and afterlife) has no meaning. The truth of the Bible is above all other truths. There is no government and no morality that exceeds the Bible, period. If something you observe or experience in the world contradicts the Bible in any way then that thing is wrong. My friend basically exclusively reads the Bible and books related to the Bible. This is the most important activity a believer can do, and everything is predicated on following the Bible. He believes the Earth is flat and there is no Outer Space -- the sky extends an indeterminate amount until it reaches the firmament. There is nothing outside the firmament, it is the edge of reality. The horizontal and downward reaches of Earth also extend to the limit of reality with nothing beyond. So naturally, the Sun and Moon are below the firmament and above the clouds. If you go far enough in any horizontal direction the Earth gets colder and less hospitable until you reach the end of existence (they say "Ice Wall" but it's probably a temperature gradient that you can never surpass). Same with Hell, that is below ground where temperatures gradually increase but cannot be surpassed.

Second, it's important to note that this "contradictory phenomenon" believers experience doesn't matter. Believers make the distinction between beliefs that are important for salvation and those that are not. The Bible doesn't explicitly say the Earth is flat but also doesn't describe a Copernican model either. So when the Bible says "a tree was tall enough to be seen by the whole Earth", then the tree really was that tall and the Earth is "probably" flat and not round. Therefore, it makes sense to believe in a flat Earth over a round one, but also this is not an important belief. What is most important is believing Jesus is the way to salvation.

Finally, I want to point out that this experience with my friend has made me more accepting of people who believe in a flat Earth because I understand the logic (or train of thought) behind it. And ultimately it doesn't matter which is true. I understand a lot of things that make life easier (like satellites) only make sense if the Earth is round, but I can't think of a situation in my daily life where I'm like "wow sure glad the Earth is round!"

I never said flat earth is a heaven or hell issue. Vision is the only one who gave a real response. You guys still didn't answer my question. Why do you care so much about flat earth if it's wrong? Your sister is a die-hard Christian just because she says so? Jesus showed me a "Christian" family that is condemned. Your sister still didn't ask God if I'm right or not, she just assumes she already knows. Jesus doesn't create crazy people. Nobody is crazy. I don't know about Mormons or Catholics being cultists anymore because of something Jesus said to me about a Catholic.

The thing is that this isn't true for all believers, at least not in the same sense. There are Christian sects that believe every single word of the Bible is literal truth, that the Earth was created in six actual calendar days several thousand years ago in the exact manner described by Genesis. But there are plenty of other sects that believe that, while the Bible was divinely inspired, different parts of it were meant to serve different purposes, and not all parts were meant literally. For instance, the Catholic Church has no issues with acknowledging the concept of the Big Bang or the theory of evolution via natural selection. I taught in Catholic schools for a decade, and our science curriculum was pretty much the same as that of public schools.

Why do I care? Because if you believe something as crazy as that, then you no doubt believe all sorts of other crazy bull★■◆●, bull★■◆● that actively harms other people...and you're able to vote. People who deny the most basic aspects of physical reality should have absolutely no say in electing public officials or setting government policy that affects me and those I care about. If flat-earthers collectively agree to never set foot in a voting booth again, then I'd be perfectly fine with them.

That's not true. Just because we believe in flat earth that we're a danger to other people as in physical harm. I don't vote but it's not because of what you say. That's more like you're trying to demonize your enemies and make it law. Apparently you're the one who's dangerous and not me. Catholicism was invented as a false version of Christianity, to deceive Christians, so of course they don't have a problem with scientism (it's not science).

Catholicism is the OG Christianity, buddy. Apostolic succession and all that. Most other variants (not counting the Orthodox Church) happened because some monk got pissed and nailed a piece of paper to a door, or because a crybaby king got told no when he tried to divorce his wife. I'm assuming your own variant came from a crazy guy with a posterboard ranting under a bridge. It'd explain a lot.

And yes, people who reject basic physical reality absolutely cause suffering and harm to others. "Homosexuality is a choice." "The Earth is not getting warmer." "Vaccines cause autism." ★■◆● all of that.

It's true that not all believers are the same. My friend just happens to think that only the bible matters and the existence of sects is just a distraction from the truth, so he refuses to be part of a sect or wear any kind of label. (I'm sure there is already a label for those people but I don't know what it is). And it's also true that my friend believes some harmful ★■◆●. He's pretty racist for one, and his distaste for any authority other than the bible makes him oppose helpful authority such as civil rights laws and government programs to help the same people Jesus would.

BTW Neo, I am not homosexual, not that it makes a difference to Evangelicals, which typically consider me far worse of a human being than even being gay.

The Roman Catholic Church IS the original Christian church. Deal with it. Protestantism came much later and only after a violent split with the Church of England. YOUR religion has strayed so far from original Christian theology it's now as weird as Mormonism. You are all cultists in a religion that bares little resemblance the original teachings of Jesus Christ. This is your religion now. Crazy uber wealthy Holy Rollers speaking in tongues.

The Bible says if you show partiality you commit sin, so he's on his way to hell for being racist, unless he changes his mind.
CDN_Merlin wrote: Tue Jul 22, 2025 12:18 pm Neo, if the earth is flat, why do we not have pictures of it? Why are all other plants, stars etc round?
We do have pictures of it. I already answered the second question. What do you care? You think I'm stupid.
And to say homosexuality is a sin means nothing as it's been around since the dawn of time long before religion came around.
The dawn of time is when Adam and Eve were created, and that's when man was given a sin nature. You're right, there was no religion, Adam's family had only one commandment from God: Don't go over to Cain's family and fall into lust. It's possible to stop sinning and stop being a homosexual. I have a friend who was a homosexual who now follows Jesus.

The Roman Catholic Church IS the original Christian church. Deal with it.
I don't care what you are. You are mean to me. Also, you guys really don't know your history.

I was about to say you can start your threads about flat moon, but I doubt they'll be very long.

So Neo, enlighten us: how did every spacefaring nation on Earth, from the U.S. to Russia to Luxembourg of all places, manage to launch satellites, orbit the planet, visit the Moon, and still not notice that the Earth is actually a giant cosmic pancake? It's incredible how this world-spanning cover-up has kept going for decades without a single intern slipping up.

NASA's round moon is very different from the flat earth moon.

You're a reliable source. Go do the experiments that prove the earth is flat. You're doing exactly the same thing tunnelcat was doing.

What really gets me about flat earthers is how they’re totally cool with the 24-hour sun in Alaska—no problem there. But mention the same phenomenon happening in Antarctica, and suddenly it’s all CGI, lies, and “impossible!” Even when four flat earthers themselves went down there and livestreamed four straight days of sunlight, their community still screamed, “Fake! Filmed in a dome!” And no matter how thoroughly Professor Dave dismantles their nonsense, like, absolutely wrecks it. Nothing changed.

That's because there are places that are proven to have NO CURVATURE, so something is obviously wrong.

I know you don't look at NASA's observations but you also ignore other flat earther's observations?

I've seen NASA's "observations" before and I don't ignore other flat earther's observations. To be fair, sometimes they bring up arguments that don't make sense, but the vast majority of them you can bank on.

This is where Isaac drops the troll act and starts showing his true self.
