The MAGA cult wall is beginning to crack, but not fast enough. Why is it that Republicunts start wars on their watch, then leave the giant mess for the next president(s), like the Gulf and Afghanistan Wars? In fact, Pakistan and Afghanistan are in all out war with each other right now. One could argue that most of the wars before and including the Vietnam War were started by Democratic presidents, but in the modern era, needless wars have mostly been started by Republicunts, including the last century's American Civil War. Technically, we are STILL fighting the Civil War with the bold re-rise of White Christian Nationalism, via the Proud Boys, Boogooloo Boys, et al militia groups and modern Christian Evangelicals. Oh, and oil prices are going way up again, when normal people can't afford housing, food and medical care. It should be renamed, Make America Miserable Again.

They also tend to pass a whole shitload of "patriotic" legislation that we have to deal with as an aftermath, like the swimmingly wonderful Patriot Act from the Bush Era. Then when the next guy has to deal with it, they ★■◆● and moan how things are being handled wrong. What a bunch of losers. They create world chaos, say they'll fix things, then leave behind a ★■◆● hole political mess in whatever countries they invade. Makes you wonder what's going on in Venezuela right now? We haven't heard a peep since the Mango Mussolini kidnapped their president, illegally murdered people in boats in the Caribbean, and stole their oil, oil that was technically China's. My guess is that as while Don Dumpy Pants and Pete Kegsbreath have their fingers stuck into the Middle East sour pie, China is probably quietly eyeballing Taiwan, with the thinking that if the U.S. can invade countries at will, why can't we reclaim our wayward people?

Meanwhile, a solidly ruby red Texas State Senate seat just flipped blue for the first time since 1994. The cracks keep on coming.

Russia has given Iran intelligence on our military assets and has also given them hyper-sonic missiles that they've already used on Tel Aviv since their Iron Dome can't intercept them. Also I'm amused at just how little ammunition the US has for all our supposedly advanced missiles and interceptors. The production capacity is so low it really sounds like they are hand made one at a time, like nobody ever bothered setting up an actual production line for them. The hardware that goes into them is probably barely more sophisticated than what goes into a $500 Chinese made RC drone with GPS built in.

Seems like the US defense contractors are only reliable at defending their absurd prices more than anything else. Those interceptors would be a billion times more effective both militarily and psychologically if everyone knew we could launch them like throwing candy at a parade. Just like the half a billion dollar radar station that got damaged by an Iranian drone, only US defense contractors could make world war II era technology cost that much.

I remember watching an analyst describe the US military as hyper focused on precision armaments because they are generally super effective, but if precision strikes fail we don't really have a Plan B. Also, fighting a cold war against a nuclear power is way different than a hot war against an entrenched non-nuclear power, so apparently we're not really suited to fight Iran. Seems like we were lucky in Iraq since that country was comprised of three ethnic groups that hated each other and were only held together by Hussein's inner circle.

2 new facts have just come out. Netanyahu knew about the October 7th attacks before they happened and did nothing to prevent it, so I was right way back at the beginning. Little prissy man-baby Kushner was the one who told Trump to go ahead and bomb Iran. I just paid $6.09 a gallon for gas. Diesel is $6.15 a gallon and prices are still going up.
