no it's not. And in fact, a couple thousand years ago, it was even less so. Everything was quite green and forested. ..well not totally, but a lot more so than it is now.

oh great i've been holding out for a visual history website like this for a while.
my google search history is peppered with stuff like \"flash history\", ever since seeing the United Nations' brilliantly done HDI flash presentations. Unfortunately my google-fu was lacking and i gave up after not finding much. But after seeing this website it's inspirational - this stuff DOES exist .
