Really, what's on your computer desk right now?

For me, I have...
-all of my Battletech miniatures(like about 32 of them)
-a scanner
-the Saitek X52 Flight Control System
-a pencil sharpener
-the first set of Homestar Runner figurines(I do have the 2nd set as well as the Cheat Commandos set)
-A flashlight
-a wireless phone
-my cell phone
-my webcam
-some of my game CDs
-a CD player
-pens and pencils
-a flat screen monitor
-a Razotech Mouse and a Dell Mouse Pad(Dur!)

Thats all I can think of for now.

Not for me. They were for a friend who is a year into guitar, we stuck'em up there so he could reference them. That was two years ago..never took it down.

My primary system is obscured by the chair. The compaq you see on the left is my secondary system, which I currently use for FTP and folding@home. You can obviously see my dual monitor setup (primary on the right) and my 1000W surround sound system receiver. I also decided to drop in a few DVDs I rather enjoy. :) What you see in the upper right is a spindle of DVD-R disks, a copy of \"The Three Musketeers\", and AC/DC's Live album. (currently listening to \"Thunderstruck\")

The black one is for the game box, the white one is connected to the (now redundant) KVM that connected the game box and my dev box. The white mouse is optical and it completely sucks for D3, so I got a laser. I moved the dev box upstairs to where it's supposed to be, but I haven't undone the KVM wiring, as it's all ziptied.

The wallpaper is the orion star belt.

Hmmm...*looks around desk*

--A bigass 19\" CRT monitor
--A standard Dell optical mouse sitting on a gel wrist rest mousepad
--A standard Dell keyboard (yes, I know, but you work with what you have...)

--A pen holder filled with...um...pens
--Two speakers which undergo severe crackling and popping when I attempt to change the volume (lovely...)
--A connected Saitek Cyborg Evo joystick
--A disconnected MS Sidewinder 3D Pro joystick (converter's stowed away somewhere)
--A Lexan JumpDrive 512MB USB drive
--Assorted layers of dust

Well, to begin with my desk is a pool table that came as one of those 6-in-1 sets, but since it was taking up space, and I wanted a place to put my computer, well..it worked out...
My moniter
behind that on a different stand my second screen
mouse
N52
Saitek ST290 Pro
old General Electric clock (but it has an LCD display)
speakers
my guard dog (a beanie Baby that I've had for a long time, he sits on top of one of my speakers
a rock, flat brown, which sits on top of my other speaker, with a small sand filled lizard on it
a screw driver
a case fan
half a dozen screws
mouse
another screw driver in one of the corner pockets of the table
a Merc CD in a Jewel case acting as a coaster
napkin
manual for a switch
pencil
1 music mix CD
3 Linux Discs

And that's about it, I have some pics but they're on my sister's cell still...I gotta get her to take them off one of these days...

Here's my computer workshop (for now). The whole stack of shelves on the right is full of computer parts. It's a bit messy, but I think you'll get the idea.

It was a college graduation gift 7 years ago from my dad. But I think they ran around 150 dollars (Lian Li).

ya know... I have the same case. er, without the window. they are nice. The fan on top does a nice job of pulling a lot of extra heat form the PS out of the box.

Hey I took it the first time and noticed how blurry it looked so I retook it again just for you guys. Sheesh! Plus I don't know how to photoshop.
And merl, that box I used to keep my stickers, pens, tacks, a couple mini calculators, some nail polish bottles, nail filer, nail clipper, and a few scrunchies in. Gotta have these non-office-like items to save me the trip to the bedroom or the bathroom when I needed 'em.

My bro in law have two monitors. Personally, I think it's a waste. You only need one monitor. What's the use for two? (aside from cameral watch, security reasons, and tv stations)

Well... IRC, Ventrilo\\TS on one, and then D3\\Firefox\\d3edit, etc on the other. That way I can see who's moving around where in Vent, or being able to see who's saying what in IRC without having to Alt+Tab out of what I'm doing...

I used two monitors at work over the summer and it was amazing. I do a lot of stuff that involves multiple windows, like coding, or completing checklists at work, and I often multitask like crazy at home too; IMing friends, surfing the web, looking at guitar tabs, etc, and having two monitors would make it much much easier to do all that simultaneously instead of having to alt-tab everywhere and only see one thing at a time. Believe, dual monitors is amazing.
