FCAT Testing

Post by Dakatsu »

Today in Florida, all students are taking the FCAT test.

What is the FCAT test?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FCAT

I took the reading test today, going to take the math and whatever else in the next two days. Lucky for me, my girlfriend sits right beside be, due to Lange and Lieder not being too far apart alplabetically in the school roster.

Me and my girlfriend should do very well, were very stupid, and tops of certain classes. (In Florida, very stupid is the highest intelligence allowed in our schools :p)

Wish me (us) luck!

yeah the Fl locals are very stupid....

I seem to have a better workout dodging your stupidity than attempting to grasp the weight of your intelligence.

You're going to fail the English section on contractions.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on disk somewhere.

No im not... hello? Florida Education System?

If I were to move somewhere with better schools, say, Iraq, then I would fail.

The FCAT is a Florida state standardized test used to determine student academic levels in all schools statewide. Every state has such a test.

For example, Missouri has the MAP, which stands for Missouri Assessment Program. The MAP test is used to determine how well students statewide are doing at different grade levels (7th, 8th, and so on) in the core subjects: math, science, social studies, and language arts (now called communication arts).

The tests to not take place in every grade level. For example, in middle schools in Missouri, 7th and 8th grade students would take the MAP, while 6th graders to not. In high schools in Missouri, sophomores and juniors take it, while the freshmen and seniors do not.

I know all this thanks to having it said by numerous teachers emphasizing the importance of it. I think you'll do fine. Good luck, Dakatsu.

They had standardized testing here, but it didn't affect our advancement. In fact, I intentionally bombed it my senior year, filling in bubbles on sections that weren't even assigned, etc.
