Blu-Ray

Post by dwlpunk »

well like 7 months ago i bought this new laptop from HP with a blu ray disk drive. its pretty new..

i think its an HP pavilion dv7 \"pink\" laptop
AMD turion x2 2.something ghz,
4GB ram,
ati HD3200 video with like 512MB video ram if not more shared.
blu ray RW drive.

now my girlfriend got my fight club on blue ray because ive been on deployment for the past six months in the arabian gulf on a aircraft carrier and i recently started using my laptop since i got back. now i dunno how the whole blu ray thing works so my question is, my laptop has a BR drive right.. do i need a special player or will windows media or some other media player automatically see it and play it in hi def? im sure my monitor supports it cause it has a sticker on my laptop that says \"HD1080p\"

i just wanna make sure it works.

thanks.

If it’s OEM, I would assume the machine will have the software already installed, to play the disks.

Look for a program like PowerDVD; that's what I use for Blu-Rays on my media machine.
