roflmao ..

I just started a Facebook account as my family has really started using it to stay in touch. .. yeah I know.. phones have gotten too heavy in the last 5 years.. go figure..

I've stayed away from all those creepy games. I learned my lesson with WoW. 8)

The only one of those FB games I gotten into is MouseHunt, only because nearly all of my friends play it (including roommates).

It's totally true. I use Facebook for e-stalking.

(...ok, not really.)

I stayed away from MySpace, and even Facebook as well for about a year after my wife started her profile and invited me. I finally made a profile and have liked FB pretty well. I don't do any of the games and don't do much of the gift/heart/hug/smile/blahblahblah sending - although I always accept that stuff when it's sent to me. The best thing about FB is the picture sharing and being able to tag people in pics. I like that a lot! It's also made it easier to keep in touch with all my relatives. I hate talking on the phone. Love sending messages and posting on ppl's walls & commenting on pics n stuff like that tho. It's a great way to keep in touch with people that you don't see normally.

What Zappa said. I'm at the point where my kids are going off to college and I only see them face to face a couple of times a year. With Facebook we post howdies or chat realtime, swap pictures and such. Plus I've gotten back in touch with friends I lost touch with 30 yrs ago. I don't do the apps, or the gifts. Just communicate with friends.

I caved to FB. But like Zappa I stay away from the games. I caught the part in the EULA that they (a second hand party) can access your profile material. I started installing it but killed it half way through. That dang thing dumped 500 instances of spyware on my system!

So no I ignore everything. But also like Zpaa, a lot of family are not \"phone\" people but they don't mind a quick note online.

I've always avoided those sites, but eventually caved to Facebook (and even then, I ignore/hide all the apps).

I was expecting to get spammed from a bunch of people I don't know... but I was pleasantly surprised. So far, it's managed to get me back in touch with a number of old friends. :)

I do none of it.

The extent of my identity that I leave out in public on the Internet is on this BB. Call me paranoid, but I really don't like advertising my personal details for the world to see.
