r9800pro + d3 = locked at 60fps?

windows 2000
512mb ram
XP2000+
R9800pro using the omega drivers based on the cat 4.3's

So I have vsync clicked off in both the drivers and ingame. I have the refresh rate overridden to the max my monitor can support (100hz @ 800x600), and yet i still see it locked at 60fps. sure there's a bit of fluctuation, if you call 66fps a fluctuation..

so i'm at a loss here. what's goin on?

Aye, Descent3 includes a default framecap to 60 FPS.

-framceap 999 -nointro -nooutragelogo -usesmoothing -playermessages

will try framecap 0 now.

EDIT: even with framecap 0, it's still at 60fps.

Do you have a utility to unlock the refresh rate in XP? If you are running XP that is.

Heres why no one noticed it right off the bat: The way the human brain reads words is based almost exclusivly on the first and last character. As long as the rest of the word is the right combination of characters, the brain will usually read it as the word its supposed to be.

Youre not dyslexic, your brain just autoskims words it already knows :P

well we do add words in to certen lines like

"Push Aney Key" well it reads like that but people to add in The to it so people started to read it as "Push The Aney Key" hint the saying Where the hell is the aney key

Dyslexia doesn't excuse retardation. I mean, I know he has Word installed somewhere there, being Mr. Multi machine and all. And it having a spell checker.. Well, I'm just wondering if he is just lazy or stupid..?
