Helicopter WIP

Started with a 3d sketch, using Blender's grease pencil. My friend's wacom tablet helped, which I'm borrowing. Note, I only sketched out the left side of the helicopter, because I always model one side then mirror the model.

Then inside the sketch I modeled out the basic shape.
[forgot to take a pic]

I deleted the sketch lines and started adding detail. Now I just have to paint it and add the blades.

On a practical note (if you made a real heli like that) the center of mass is too far ahead of the main rotor. It would have an amazing tendancy to tip over forwards.
If you moved the rotor pylonn to over the 'wings' it would be a lot more realistic.

From the modelling side, it's looking good.

I really hate blender's crappy UV editor. It almost seems broken. I couldn't find a way to relax my UVs. It's almost as if they want people to use their crappy automatic UV unwrapper. I'll just have to go and read on where they hid all the tools I need.

This is as far as I got before being fed up with the crappy GUI blender has for UV editing.
