quitting dwarf fortress

I think dwarf fortress is killing my system. My temp skyrockets to 80c when I run it. I stopped playing it today when I thought it would go higher. Everything's fine when I don't run it. I can watch videos play, normal games, etc. To make matters worse, because of the limited memory on my system, swap space doubles when I run df, meaning I'm killing my SSD. I have no choice. I'll have to buy a big rig desktop before I can go back to playing the worst game ever made.
