I never played Portal 2, so yeah!

Also, Spotify (some kind of music player & music social network) just made the jump to Linux: http://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify ... d-p/392806

More of a technical advancement, Adobe and Google are bringing a Adobe CFF text rasterizing system to Linux, which is suppose to be a lot better. Though I have never had issues with font on any distro... not sure why they're doing it, but yay! linux: http://www.zdnet.com/google-and-adobe-t ... 000014803/

I only see the original Portal, not Portal 2, in Steam so far.

Hmm... I got to get the steam client myself. Not that my netbook can handle any 3d games.

You sure?
I've been able to play Red Faction on a netbook I got for note-taking in class :P.

I'm not saying it would run Portal... but it would probably run Doom. Which isn't exactly 3D but whatever.

It can run it, but it's not smooth. 2d games run fine, like world of goo, cortex command, and Teeworlds.

I installed Steam on my Linux and Portal shows ... but it won't play on my Linux (lappy with under-appreciated video) because there isn't sufficient OpenGL support for my lappy's video.

Oh well, reboot in XP and I run Portal there.

I'm in the other boat, having a card with amazing support, but an underpowered intel gpu that has trouble running blender... Won't be running Portal either.. GERRR
