Invisible object

Having snarked around with this custom object for a while now, with no success, I've decided to come here for help:

I have a custom object in my level. It's attached to an external room, in plain sight where you can see it from anywhere around. I've tried just about everything imaginable, but I keep running into the same problem: the object is invisible. Now I can fly up to the object in the level, bump into it, shoot it, hear its sounds, destroy it, the works, I just can't SEE it. Its collision detection is working flawlessly, as I can shoot through the "bars" of a part of it, but can also hit the bars.

I've checked the .gam file; it looks just like every other .gam generic clutter object in the book. it does have a simple rotation property added to one sub-model of the .oof, but that shouldn't be causing problems. Anyone have a clue?
