Sea cucumbers do have asses though. There is a tiny fish called a pearl fish that spends its entire life in the butt of a sea cucumber. http://www.reefed.edu.au/explorer/anima ... mbers.html

At our store we chop 'em off when they come out of the box just like de-iceing the brocolli
