Neato. Next stop the military. Imagine a platoon of grunts swooping in for the kill on some unsuspecting enemy jihadist.

woops, i fergot about this video.

this thing is so awesome, i have been waiting for someone to finally figure out a way to maintain LEVEL flight with those birdman suits.

he says he jumped from 2200meters, and was able to maintain level flight at 2000 meters for approx 30seconds - until all of his fuel was used up.

what is he saing when he mentions "1.5"? it sounds like he says he pulled 1.5, so would he be talking about G forces?

Anyway, i am so stoked about this level flight stuff. coz i always wondered if using these birdsuits you could dive down all streamlined head-first to build up speed, and then suddenly open your arms+legs and bring yourself outof the dive and see if you can stall yourself. you know... try to see how SLOW you can be going. Coz maybe if you had some wheels you could simply jump outof a plane without a parachute - dive straight down to pick up speed and then level out to level flight for a while - then as you slow and end up stalling yourself you can just land horizontally on a road with your wheels!

maybe you could use rollerblades :D

seriously, do you think it would be possible to do a maneuver like that, to fly horizontally until you stall and then just horizontally land? NO PARACHUTE?

i always get stoked thinking about it. coz it'd be such a natural way to fly.

I think after the dive (assuming you've reached terminal velocity) spreading your arms/legs would be pretty painful. I see torn cartillage in the future :) I like the rollerblade idea, but I don't think someone could have that type of control over their body at speeds that fast to be able to make small corrections to ensure they could actually land.
